1.18 Five By Five
An outstanding episode, steeped in the question of redemption. Who's redeemable and who isn't? Are there people who are truly evil and beyond redemption? And, of course, where about in these deep and meaningful questions, does Faith fall? This is a total Faith episode with outstanding performances from everyone, but Eliza is literally breathtaking.1.19 Sanctuary
This obviously picks up from Five by Five and really is more of a continuation than any other 'to be continued'. It deals with how Faith is coming to grips with having to live with what she's done. Although, it's annoying for me because Faith paints Buffy to be a better friend to her than she ever actually was! There's a lot of subtle points that are well and truly brought home in this episode. Eliza is outstanding when it comes to those - not to mention the obvious of course. (read more)2.01 Judgement
This is almost like a progress report since Faith's incarceration. A lovely touch that lets the viewers know Angel is actually visiting her and giving her support. Going by the conversation, this is not Angel's first visit! (Bless him!)3.03 Faith, Hope & Trick
This is our introduction to Faith, as the title suggests. It's actually our introduction to three new characters in the third season. THE Slayer (like it or not - Faith is the new 'Chosen One' - Buffy's still alive thanks to Xander). Scott Hope, Buffy's supposed 'new' boyfriend, and Mr. Trick - the hip, new, modern vampire, totally trendy and not really into 'the old ways'. (read more)3.04 Beauty And The Beasts
This is almost a Faith-less episode. Although it does have points that gives us a few more clues as to how Faith thinks and also adds to Faith's story arc. A creature is slicing and dicing people and Oz seems to be the prime suspect. It's (as are most Buffy eps) well written and relevant. We're introduced to Scott's friends (Pete and Debbie) here, however, once more, Scott is left on the sidelines. (read more)3.05 Homecoming
This episode has fewer scenes than Beauty And The Beasts. However, again it's important for how Faith was meant to be originally compared to how she turned out (after Eliza had wowed everyone and the producers/writers could see a bigger picture for Faith). This time, it's K. Todd Freeman's turn to shine as Mr. Trick. (read more)3.07 Revelations
This is probably the most important episode regarding Faith pre-mayor. It is pivotal to the breaking-down of the relationship between Faith and Buffy, not to mention how it completely destroys Faith's trust in anyone. Revelations is also the episode when everyone else finds out Angel is back. Our two slayers are having a fine time doing their job, with an almost laid back Giles occasionally glancing up from his books to see how they're doing. 3.13 The Zeppo
This is a Xander driven episode. In case you're unfamiliar with the title, it refers to Zeppo Marx of the Marx Brother's fame, he was the least well-known one. Seldom seen or heard, which we all know is Xander's paranoia (especially now with a very pissed-off Cordy on his back). Faith's probably got the second largest portion of the episode (referring to the usual cast) and certaintly, one of the most important factors in the changing Xander: he loses his virginity to her. The 'b'story arch of this episode is the end of the world, another apocalypse Buffy and friends have to stop. (read more)3.14 Bad Girls
This is probably either the first or second favorite episode among Faith fans. Like Revelations it's bittersweet. Also, like Revelations, things start happily enough. It seems Faith and Buffy have re-established their friendship with one important difference. As we get into the ep, it seems that Faith has the dominant role of the two. (read more)3.15 Consequences
Many people can't make up their minds if this is a good episode or just a mish mash of things thrown together to get Faith to the Mayor and the start of the 'Faith and the Mayor' arc. To me, personally, it's bad. Really bad. The worst part is, though, nearly everyone is moronic. Faith can't seem to figure that Alan being a bad guy will help her cause. This is the first episode that has Faith working for the Mayor. A great introduction to the father-daughter slant that weaves its way in and out from here on. There isn't much of Faith in this episode, in fact, she's only in two scenes, as this is a total Willow vehicle (kudos to Alyson). 'Alternate reality' Willow (the Vampire Willow we met in the episode The Wish) is brought into our reality and, to quote Buffy in 4th season's This Year's Girl, "Hi jinx ensues". Yet another gem, despite it not being part of the main 3rd season arc. (read more)3.17 Enemies
The second of the two episodes where Faith fans can't make up their minds which is better (the writing is brilliant!). Actually, I think there are three outstanding third season Faith episodes. Revelations, Bad Girls, and this (Eliza likes it because she was finally allowed to do all her own stunts!) A given that it's brilliant, Buffy needs to find out just where Faith stands. A fantastic episode that finally sees Eliza and Alyson acting rings around everyone else. One of the main regrets of third season, is that these two brilliant talents didn't have more screen time together. The acting is phenomenal. Wanting desperately to be more than a Slayer, Buffy has the bright idea of a pre-emptive strike against the Mayor and Faith so she can go to University at NorthWestern. Naturally, things don't go according to plan when Willow gets herself captured by Faith.3.21 Graduation Day 1
Here we go! The much talked about Ascension is almost here and Buffy and company are still fairly clueless about what's going to happen. Until Anya finds out and tells about one she's seen. Start the panic. Faith-wise, our girl is on the ball. (read more)3.22 Graduation Day 2

It's been eight months since Faith's dive of roof and into a coma. When she wakes, she's firstly, disorientated and secondly, extremely angry. As Buffy says: "Hi jinx ensue." when Faith finds that no-one cared enough to visit, the Mayor is dead and the love of Buffy's life, Angel, the guy she was willing to kill Faith for, is no longer in the picture. Hell hath no fury like a Slayer scorned!4.15 Who Are You?
This is part two of a wonderful Buffy double however- note: For simplicity's sake, Buffy is Faith and Faith is Buffy. OR ...as in notes in the credits...Eliza is Buffy and SMG is Faith. Wonderfully played on both parts. Eliza has Buffy's quirks 'down'...while Sarah has (although not quite as well as Eliza) managed to tap into Faith's vulnerability...specifically the love scene with Riley.
